This quarter for my independent reading book I read the fault in our stars, this book I have to say surprise me because its the first book that is better than the movie. I am a very cineast person and not saying that I do not like to reed but I do prefer movies. the fault in our stars is a tragic love story about a girl called hazel grace she has cancer and for her support she goes to support group meetings where she met a boy called augustus waters. hey both have interest in each other and augustus dosen't wait to tell her how he feels about, they meet each other and start to talk and talk hours in the phone on every single place, they share a common interest a book that augustus recommends to hazel and she eventually reads it, hazel just for fun decides to write to the author by email saying that she loved the book, but what she never thought is that the author would response by saying that they where both invited to Amsterdam where the author lived and that everything was already payed. Hazel and Augustus with all of their cancer problems and stuff go to their adventure in Amsterdam, where they decide that definitely their love is so strong and pure it can overcome all the problems.

Almost every time we judge and blame technology but in my personal opinion is the person behind the screen that we need to worry about on both articles we see how information moves very fast, information is always spreading around even without technology so imagine how fast it spreads when you do have technology. On both articles we can see how technology is used for good and for bad in one of them it helped to find people in a catastrophe, in the other one it helped to spread a horrible challenge where girls hurt themselves trying to accomplish kylie's Jenner ideas pf beauty. So yes I think that technology is bad or good depending on who is behind the screen.
How did the authors of the Simpsons used the article the lottery to do the Simpsons episode " hacking day " ?
The author or the creator of the Simpsons used a similar situation as the lottery but this time the problem wasn't that a person died but snakes where being tortured, and at the end we realized the means didn't justified the results. In the lottery the tradition is that the person that wins the lottery dies, on the Simpsons the tradition is a day in which people go out to hit snakes, the difference is that on the Simpsons people realize they are doing something wrong and that actually they need snakes to survive. I think the author used animals so people could feel more sensible and understand the problem. I also think that he was trying to criticize a lot of aspects of life where you can not chose your faith and you have to take the consequences even if you don't deserve them like the snakes on whacking day and the person that dies when he wins the lottery. For this blog entry I would like to talk about the relationship of the theme of the crucible with the today world. Even though we don't realize it people still blame others so that they can safe themself, and this is what happens all time in the crucible, people are trying to end their problems by putting others in problems. Today we can also see that and we can take us an example that almost 60% of the people that is in jail is innocent and are in jail because people with power safe themselves and cover their errors by blaming others. But this not only happens in a big scale this also happen in the day to day moments, when I was a kid I was blamed for punching a friend of my school and I didn't do it, what I really did was splitting up a fight, and at last the kid accepted that he was just scared of getting in problems so he put the blame on me, but what was really surprising is that for a moment I believed that I punched the kid because everyone was telling me so.
I think that this is a very big problem because on our society there are lots of problems and when you accuse someone of doing something you end with their family and with their own confidence, so for me us pathetic it hears the witches in salem are no diferent from the today society. You can be surprised of how many things you learn in a year and sometimes you don't even realize you have learn something new that can change your present, sometimes this life changing events are the goodbye of a love one or the hello of a newborn but in my case it was a trip, maybe in my opinion the best trip you can ever take, because it is the true meaning of vacation.
Last summer I went to a very long trip to Europe with my family, I thought that like many others it was going to be just a trip but at the end I learned things like generosity, comprehension and love. on the next few paragraphs I am going to tell you about what experiences changed my perspective about life. The best thing about the hole trip is that I could share all this new experiences and all of this joy with the people I love the most in one of the places that I have wanted to know my entire life. In my hole trip I went to places like Amsterdam, Paris, Brujas, Brucelas, Madrid and Barcelona and I always told that the meaning of the hole trip was to look and understand history but now that I look back I can clearly see how all the little details all the laughs and the frustrations teach me that all humans have defects and we need to love everyone and comprehend each other. Many times in the hole trip we all wanted to do dfferent things, sometimes I wanted to shop but my dad wanted to go to the eifel tower in that moment I needed to understand the efort and love my dad put into this trip and the minute I got that I became more happy and my fmily fill with joy Country blues is a genre that origintaes in the year in the southern part of United States, this genre is mainly acoustic and is almost everytime played by a guitar and the banjo. The country blues has some important elements like rural gospel, ragtime, hilibilly and dixieland jazz. This genre was created in the end of 19 century in African American communities, that put together diferent elements creating simple narrative ballads that with time became into blues, then blues divided into many diferent kinds creating country blues also known us folk blues. Some great artists known in this genre are Big Bill Broonzy, Sonny Terry and Brownie Mcghee, that found love in this new genre after the african americans started to change their taste for music in the early 1960s. One of the most famous singers of this genre where singers like Howard Amstrong better known us " louis blues", Pink Anderson, Deford Bailey and Etta Baker.
I found interesting the blues and I think a ot of kids all around the world would find very interesting to. I really dont understand why did we learn this on english class but even though I enjoy it. I hope that blues keeps inspiring a lot of people and communities all around the worl and that with loe and music we an all change the world ("Come on home"). ("Country blues"). My name is Elisa Correa Vargas and I am fifteen years old. I was born in Manizales, Colombia in1999. My family is composed by my Dad, a doctor, my Mom, a comerciant, and my brother, Juan Jose, a senior in high school. I dance since I was three years old and is the hobby I love the most. On this letter, I am going to write about some very important events on my life and how I represent this events with all kinds of different songs and artists. I chose three events that where and are very important for me and my life, and I am going to represent each event with a different song. The first event I chose is when I first meet my boyfriend in a trip to Armenia three years ago, and since that moment I have loved him with all my heart. The song I chose is "Big Girls Don't Cry" by Fergie because he is going to Bogota and is very sad for me. The second song is "Rude" by Magic because that represents my dance program trip to Los Angeles, California, which was awesome. The third song is "Champs Elise" by Joe Dassin, a song that my family and I heard in Paris when we went to Europe. My main goals for this year, is that I want to be very relaxed and get to know myself even better. big girls dont cry by fergie rude by magic champs elise by joe dassin I think that is very sad that on 2014 we still have problems with planes we should be 100 percent shure of what we are doing. I cant imagine the sadness and desesperation of the families of the people that where on that plane. The airline has told to the families to be prepare for the worst. They haven’t found anything not a plane crash or an explosion, they just lost the plane signal that desa[eared from all radars 3 days ago. The plane left from kuala lumpur with 239 passengers and the signal was lost between Malaysia and Vietnam. I personaly think that this is a kidnap and that hopefully everyone is fine. I am scered of planes and I am going to los angeles on this summer break so I am kind of scared
“If you live to be a hundred, I want to live to be a hundred minus one day so I never have to live without you.” for me my friends are one f the most important things in life they are the sisters that you get to choose. I have one friend that is very special to me she knows all my secrets and imperfections, when she read this if she does she is going to realize that this blog is for her because she is the best friends you can ever get and maybe you can think I am just being exaggerated but I am not because she is the best I dont call her my best friend I call her my sister. I have know her since I born because our moms went to pregnancy terapy together so we are very alike. I love her and I hope she never leaves my side. “We'll be Friends Forever, won't we, Pooh?' asked Piglet.
Even longer,' Pooh answered.” ― A.A. Milne, Winnie-the-Pooh i think that being in love at 14 dosent have anything wird, but romeo and juliet fell in love in 24 hours and they also get merried that is kind of funny even for a book of love, that is kind of impossible, in 24 hours you can start to like someone but no fell in love. I know the story of two kids that fell in love and they never stop loving each other even when time pas, but what romeo and juliet did wasent true love it was a pathetic book and I truly believe in love and how can you love someone so much that it hurts, bot not like romeo and juliet that was stupid and truly impulsive. that kind of love is fake it is just something some people do to show there families that they can be rebel. loving for a girl of 13 like juliet can be easy on this time because of the t
